SUMMIT 2025 is more than a case competition. It’s a chance to dive into the world of economics and apply your knowledge to real challenges. Hosted by the Economics Student Society, this event brings academic learning with real-world application together, encouraging innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Join fellow students to solve complex economic problems, present your ideas, and gain valuable experience that sets you apart in the field.
Showcase your skills, work with a diverse team, and make an impact at SUMMIT 2025.

How does it work?

SUMMIT 2025 is a one-week-long case competition. The case will be released one week before the presentation date. Participants can sign up individually or as a group; if signing up individually, you will be paired with others by the ESS team. Once the case is released, you will have one week to prepare a PDF presentation showcasing your findings and resolutions. On the day of the competition, you will present your solution to a panel of judges. Winners will be announced and awarded prizes.

When is it?

SUMMIT 2025 is Thurday, November 20th. It will take place at the SFU Burnaby campus Student Union Building (SUB) Ballroom.

Who can participate?

Our goal is to provide Economics students with opportunities to apply and showcase their skills. However, we welcome all SFU students to compete, as we believe in fair and equal competition. Please note that the case will be approached from an economic perspective.
